The Possibilities of Machine Morality

The Possibilities of Machine Morality

Jonathan Pengelly

This book argues that morality is broader and more diverse than its human manifestation. Through detailed analyses of core moral concepts like agency and responsibility, it uses the hypothetical perspective of machine morality to reveal the contingent limits of human moral thinking, offering original insights into the nature of morality itself.
