The Anthem International Human Rights Law Series explores the rights and fundamental freedoms of the human family, from civil and political rights and economic, social and cultural rights, to the rights of specific groups, including women’s rights, child rights, the rights of persons with disabilities, racial discrimination, and the rights of the elderly. It covers current human rights issues as well as historical perspectives on the development of international law, and offers avenues to improve the implementation of international legal standards across regions. The series provides case studies of new legal developments in the promotion of human rights and best practices at the international and domestic levels that can inspire lawyers, policy makers and human rights advocates. The readership encompasses legal scholars and practitioners as well as scholars in several disciplines, including political science, philosophy, sociology, history and criminology.
