Series Description:

Anthem Palestine Studies book series aims to provide a comprehensive, multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary exploration of the history, culture, society, politics and geography of Palestine and the broader global Palestinian diaspora. Covering historical periods from the ancient to the contemporary, it seeks to illuminate diverse aspects of the Palestinian experience, through different disciplinary approaches including archaeology, the visual arts and media, theatre and literature, politics and sociology. By examining the historical and contemporary intersections of cultural heritage and cultural production, social change, and power, it highlights how ideas, practices, and institutions have evolved over time and created a distinct Palestinian identity, often forged in the face of formidable challenges. The series also explores the influence of economics, religion, migration, and technology on shaping Palestinian communities inside and outside of historic Palestine, as well as the ways in which collective memory, identity, and historical narratives inform the present-day lived realities of the Palestinians. Through this comprehensive approach, the series will provide readers with a nuanced understanding of the past while offering insights into the ongoing economic, social and cultural dynamics that constitute the Palestinian lived reality today.
