Series Description
The series addresses key topics in health humanities, including narrative-based clinical practice; narratives of health, illness, and ability; narrative ethics; literature in medical education; philosophy of medicine and health, and narrative strategies to effect meaningful change. The series is distinguished by a commitment to inclusive breadth, risk, and excitement of thought, to revive the originating needs and purposes of the health humanities. Such an intentionally inclusive approach reflects the core tenets of health humanities—to create new opportunities for dialogue between siloed groups, distinct professional roles, and diverse lived experiences, finding original language to describe shared human meaning.

We welcome submissions of proposals for challenging and original works from emerging and established scholars that meet the criteria of our series. We make prompt editorial decisions. Our titles are published in print and e-book editions and are subject to peer review by recognized authorities in the field.
