Series Description Anthem Philosophy and Politics of Human Rights series explores issues of human rights and freedoms, democracy and human rights, and democracy in transition, both in the history of political philosophy and across various forms of literature, art, and film. Titles in this series explore how works of philosophy and culture express and influence the perspectives of individuals and peoples on these important questions. The series also welcomes titles that have a regional focus, investigating aspects of human rights and freedoms, or, democracy and human rights, or, democracy in transition in either the Americas, Asia, Africa, or Eastern Europe and Russia. It is particularly interested in titles that focus on human rights and freedoms, or, democracy and human rights, or, democracy in transition in conflicted and transitional societies such as Northern Ireland, Ukraine, South Africa, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Syria, and Israel and Palestine. The series fosters original and challenging approaches from authors in political science, literature, philosophy, history, law, and religious studies.
