The Climate Change and the Future of the North American City series proposes to document, describe and analyze the challenges, threats and opportunities posed by climate change on major cities. Initially focused on the United States, the series presents case studies of various cities and the ways each city is responding to climate change. Titles in the series contextualize discussion in terms of the Urban Climate Change Research Network (UCCRN) case studies, explaining in what sense the city under examination is an example to others.
